Positive Medical Transport is an American Heart Association Training Site.
We currently offer the following classes:

Heartsaver CPR The American Heart Association recognizes the first person available to help during a sudden cardiac arrest is usually a family member or bystanders. This class makes sure they are educated and prepared to provide help to the victim until professional rescuers arrive, thus greatly increasing their chances of survival.
Lay Rescuer Automated External Defibrillator This course educates and trains individuals to be prepared to use commercial AED's available in many airports, shopping malls, stadiums, and other places of gathering.
Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider This class provides initial CPR and re-certification for the medical professional, includes AED, Bag Valve Mask, and utilization of advanced airways.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support This class is specific to the different cardiac problems professional rescuers will encounter and their specific treatment with advanced ECG and 12 lead monitoring, medication administration, and other advanced procedures.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support The American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support course is based on science evidence from the 2005 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. The goal of the PALS course is to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes. Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; the systematic approach to pediatric assessment; effective respiratory management; defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion; intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration; and effective resuscitation team dynamics.

Emergency Vehicle Operations Course Driving an emergency vehicle is a position of responsibility in the emergency service industry. The responsibilities of and the penalties for improperly trained emergency and non-emergency vehicle operators is tremendous. Civil, criminal, and punitive damages and charges may become a part of your vocabulary if the vehicle your operating is involved in a crash that injures or kills one of your staff members, a patient, or a civilian vehicle operator/pedestrian. This course will help you learn to safely and efficiently operate Ambulances and Fire apparatus during both emergency and normal driving.

Blood-borne Pathogens and Infection Control: In today's healthcare industry appropriate personal protection and education about germs and disease is key to the health of employees and our patients. This short course is a wake up call to some of the less respected disease process's we deal with everyday and a refreshing educational experience about the ones we fear most.
