Mid-evening on Thursday EMS Manager Bill Miller rolled up on a vehicle in the ditch at Haywood Taylor Blvd and US 98, Bill contacted the Sebring PMT station, just a minute away, for an ALS unit while another bystander called 911. 3 patients were seriously injured in the accident including one Trauma Alert air lifted to Tampa General Hospital. Positive's M 5 and HCEMS ALS 5 also transported 2 patients to Highlands Regional ER for evaluation. A prime example of how the local connections and close working relationship between our home town ambulance service and local 911 facilitated the best possible treatment for the injured.
