Four massive bursh fires quickly overwhelmed OCFR crews for 3 days resulting in an all hands on deck fire department response. With every available OCFR unit tied up with brush fire suppresion PMT was called to respond to 911 calls in their place. Positive ALS crews succesfully responded to numerous scene calls thanks to a previsouly in place agreement for mutual aid between PMT and Okeechobee County. The agreement alows PMT to step up in place of County ambulances in the event of overwhelming catastrophe. At one point PMT had 5 units in place in county for immidiate response.
